  1. I purchased this device to connect 2 portal games to the Wii U which only has 2 USB ports and 1 of them is taken up by ethernet. The device worked perfectly and I don’t have to swapped the plugs between games anymore.

  2. Attractive, seems well-designed. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for my particular need — had hoped my Apple SuperDrive could be connected to it, but turns out the SuperDrive’s power needs are too high for this, or any other hub I’ve been able to identify. But will save this and almost certainly find a future use for it.

    1. Hi Tom – That’s correct, the Apple Superdrive specifically looks for proprietary signalling only present on newer Apple system’s USB ports. It will not function on any other USB ports. That’s why it won’t work with any USB hub of any brand. They did it because the Superdrive requires a lot of power, and they didn’t want to draw too much power from a port that couldn’t handle it, so they made sure it would only work in specific newer Apple system’s USB ports. We understand the reasons, but it’s a bad choice, especially since they don’t warn customers ahead clearly. A better choice would be for Apple to use the USB standard Battery Charging spec, which could let them negotiate in a standard way for at least 1.5 Amps. Doing it a standard way would open the door to working with more than just Apple’s own USB ports. Hope that background helps!

  3. Very well designed and compact. Filled my needs perfectly Will tell everyone about this product. Worth every penny..

  4. Works great. Hard to say much about a simple device like this. If it works properly, you won’t notice it. I’m using it on my Win 7 PC to connect two Logitech receivers to one port, having run out of space on my USB powered hub. Logitech, in their wisdom, has made their new USB “unifying receivers,” incompatible with older Logitech mice and keyboards, and I prefer my old Logitech wireless mouse to the new one that comes with my Wave keyboard. Hence, the necessity of two receivers plugged into the same female cable. For this job, the Two Port Hub works perfectly.
