A: Features like DisplayPort Alternate Mode video, and Power Delivery charging protocol are not supported by legacy USB-A connectors. USB graphics technologies such as DisplayLink transmit video as data and are supported. For example our USBC-6950M
A: Yes you can. Unlike DisplayPort Alt Mode-based devices, DisplayLink and Silicon Motion use USB data to transmit the video signal and can work with cables that have a USB-A connector like our USBC-A1M. An example would be our UD-3900H
A: No. USB-A connections do not support the USB-C Power Delivery protocol. Power Delivery requires USB-C connection on both ends, along with a compliant USB-C to USB-C cable such as our USB4-240W-1M
A: The Plugable USBC-A1M is capable of supporting up to 3A 20V. When connecting compatible devices to proprietary USB-A “QC” chargers, this cable safely supports up to 60W. Most modern, standards-based hardware will charge up to 5V 3A (15W)
